So i have a little something fun planned for the weekend of June 1st &2nd. Yes This coming weekend! I'm hosting a weekend crop in Moncton New Brunswick and of course hosting a few sketch challenges for the ladies. I thought why not get the CS readers involved as well!!!!
Sketches will be posted on our blog and in the Facebook group for everyone as well as copies given to the ladies at the live crop.


** 2 sketch challenges will be posted / completed by Sat June 2 at 11:00pm Eastern Time
** 1 hour sketch challenge will be posted at 8:00pm Eastern Time on Saturday Night!!!/ Completed by 9:00pm EST and 15 min grace period (9:15pm) to take a pic and upload on our blog post.

Please NOTE ... If you want to be Eligible for prizes you SHOULD upload your layouts using our INLINKZ at the end of our blog posts ... ( posted this weekend )

Sketch #210

Good Morning Creative Scrappers!

Hi! My name is Ashley Horton and I live in the Southern US with my husband Tyler, and our two girls and little boy. I am a Stay at Home Mom and I home school our oldest daughter, who is in Kindergarten this year. I actually started Scrapbooking over six and half years ago, right after she was born. My children are the subject of my pages 90% of the time and I love to document the big events and little milestones in their lives.

I REALLY love patterned paper and love to work with a variety of manufacturers. Some of my favorites are October Afternoon, My Mind's Eye, Echo Park, Simple Stories, Crate Paper, and Bella Blvd (but believe me, this list could go on and on and on!!)

I would describe my overall style as Cutesy and Whimsical, but I also enjoy dabbling in the other Scrapbook styles that are out there, every once in a while. I currently serve on 3 Design Teams and have had layouts published (past & upcoming) in Creating Keepsakes magazine and several online magazines. Other than Scrapbooking, I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, and reading.

Sketch Designers

Hi Everyone! It's time for a little announcement!

I thank you ALL for voting for your favorite sketch designer(s). I am very excited to announce the return of 2 of our sketch team members and welcome 3 new ones! yes 3!

After seeing how close the votes were between 3 great designers (totals of 169-164-139 ) I decided to give my position to Jenny Evans! i LOVE Jenny's sketches - and I think she'd be a great addition to the team. So for the next 4 months i can concentrate on designing sketches for my next Sketchbook and Jenny can inspire you with her work and sketches here at Creative Scrappers!

I am also thrilled to welcome Janice and Johanna to the team! These gals create some great sketches and so very different in styles... for sure a great combo for us here at CS!



With all these designers you will see a GREAT variety of sketches that will for sure inspired you and get your creative juices flowing ;-)

Thank you everyone that applied for a sketch team position and if you weren't selected I certainly encourage you to try and try again ;-)

Cast YOUR Vote

Good Morning Creative Scrappers!

I had such a wonderful response to my latest Sketch Designer Call - from the group of submissions i have selected 4 of these talented ladies as finalist! I decided since you were the ones creating layouts and since you gain inspiration from our weekly reveals why not let YOU decide which Sketch Designer you'd like to join our team!
Since July and September have 5 Sundays I decided to take 2 more Sketch team members !!! yes this won't be for 1 but 2 sketch team members!!!

( This is something I've never done before --- a voting process - but hopefully you'll enjoy participating and cast your vote for the designer who you think would be a great asset to Creative Scrappers! )
